Fifty-one students in the sixth and seventh grades at Larose Cut Off Middle School were nominated for the Junior National Young Leaders Conference, which will take place this summer. The program is a five-to-six-day conference, held in Washington, D.C. or Atlanta, which focuses on building leadership skills, confidence, and social development through historical site visits, team-building exercises, and interactive educational workshops aimed at empowering students to become community change-makers.
