BETA to volunteer Saturday, December 6
LCOMS BETA students are volunteering to work at the Cut Off Youth Center on Saturday, December 6, 2025, to help the Bless Your Heart organization with its annual Community Christmas event.
Students will set up tables, work craft booths, etc. Those attending are asked to wear their BETA shirt if they have one; if not, they can wear any LCO or maroon/gold shirt.
BYH would like us to arrive at 9 a.m., and the function ends at 2 p.m. Students will need to sign in with Mrs. Coleman at the event in order to earn service hours.
If students are not able to stay the entire time, it is totally fine. If they cannot attend, that is okay, too. This is an opportunity to volunteer for service hours, which are required in BETA.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the LCOMS BETA sponsor, Mrs. Coleman, at lcoleman@mylpsd.com.

Be on the lookout to check your student's progress.

National Principals Month: Celeste Breaux
To celebrate National Principals Month, we’re sharing some fun facts about our amazing school administrators. Today you’ll learn more about Mrs. Celeste Breaux, principal of Larose-Cut Off Middle School.
Here’s the inside scoop on Mrs. Breaux:
🦴 She’s been a principal for three years.
🦴 She says the most rewarding part of being a principal is witnessing the successes of her students each day. “Whether that success is big or small, in the classroom or on the field, or in the band or at a competition, it sure is rewarding to see.”
🦴 Her favorite subject was PE because she loved the competition in each sport/activity. Math was a close second.
🦴 Fish and cheese was/is still her favorite school lunch. The lasagna at LCO is her second favorite.
🦴 Her bucket list includes a train trip up the East Coast and experiencing/seeing the Northern Lights.
🦴 Fun Fact: She and her family have been to 16 major league baseball parks/stadiums, and they’re planning to complete the 30 park/stadium tour.
